Vision
In line with meeting the essential and growing national demand for alumina (aluminum oxide) as the main input material for aluminum production plants, and considering the strategic position of the Makran region for importing bauxite (as the raw material), the project for constructing an alumina production plant was defined.

Study and exploration of mineral zones
Vision
• Exploration, extraction, and utilization of mineral resources to meet domestic mineral needs in the country;
• Investment or attracting capital for the development of mines.
• Activating and creating mining complexes in the provinces of South Kerman, Hormozgan, and Sistan and Baluchestan.
• Acquiring mineral zones for conducting studies and exploration of areas with mineral potential.
• Supplying mineral materials for factories related to chrome, iron, manganese, copper, and other minerals in the region.
• Creating mining employment in the Makran region as a necessary infrastructure for various related industries.
• Meeting mineral needs related to the creation of the new city of Makran.
• Helping to solve social and security issues in the region by indirectly increasing public welfare.
• Exporting processed minerals instead of raw sales from regional ports to other countries and creating a mineral export hub in the Makran region.
• Preparing and implementing plans for the construction, development, equipment, and modernization of metallurgical production industries, extraction and processing of mineral materials, and conducting exploratory activities in the Makran region.
• Prospecting, exploration, extraction, and exploitation of metallic and non-metallic mines and creating industrial factories in the Makran region.
• Establishing auxiliary mineral, industrial, and investment industries or partnering with individuals and legal entities in activities related to mining in the Makran region.
• Investing in downstream and upstream industries of mineral products.
• Efforts to reduce the risk of mining investment in the eyes of private investors in the country and encourage these investors to enter this underdeveloped region.
Actions Taken
- Identification and reconnaissance studies in the northern zone of Bashagard County, Hormozgan Province (ongoing)
- Planning for exploratory studies in the Makoran region in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan and the southern area of Kerman
- Planning exploratory and mining activities aimed at producing the mineral materials needed for the projects of Makoran Land Management and Development Company
DAP Plant
The phosphate factory of Makoran is one of the industries and factories considered for establishment in the Makoran region. Given the possibility of sourcing raw materials (phosphate rock) from domestic and foreign resources, the production of products such as phosphate fertilizers, phosphoric acid, etc., is under review.
