In line with the implementation of the seventh development program in the southern coasts and solving the challenges in the field of land development and responding to the growth of the urban population in the country with the aim of increasing the share and competitiveness of Makoran coastal region in the national economy, improving the share and position of the country’s economy in the Persian Gulf region and The international level and the creation of an economic capital in the southern coasts, the national plan for the construction of the central Makoran economic port city has been defined.
For this purpose, due to the wide dimensions of this project and the importance and high priority of its successful implementation, Makoran Central Economic Port Company was established as a project company for the purpose of management and implementation.
